Awhile back, I was cleaning and found a basket and a box full of scraps and a quilt top that one of my relatives had started. I started removing the newspaper from the back of the quilt. It's really been damaged by something eating on it. So I put it aside and then found this old kmart bag full of scarps. Well, I forgot to take a before pic so you get an almost empty kmart bag.

So I went thru the scraps and loved the materials. I decided to do a different string quilt. I have cut 4 x 18 strips and am sewing these beautiful scraps to the strips.

So I spent a few hours today just ironing scraps so that I could start another quilt top. FYI - I finally found and stored my current quilt tops. I have 7 that need to be quilted or tied.

Here you can see my strips I started. I love when things are random. I've been reading quilting blogs for awhile but I know I don't have the skill level nor the interest to copy a pattern that someone else made. There are some really fantastic quilts out there that I admire. Those ladies desire big kudos for what they do.
