Beautiful Day

No the sun did not shine and it was cold, but it wasn't raining and I got to mow the ugly weeds down.

The poor garden looks horrible. But another cabbage is almost ready. We pulled some spinach, picked some collards, and pulled enough turnips to fill a 5 gallon bucket. Rick's tired of canning them, and we don't want to put them in the freezer so I'll try drying them tomorrow. I have a dehydrator but the oven route sounds faster so I'll give that a try.

My little orange tree survived the drought. We cut back the blackberry vines today. I kept waiting for really cold weather and when we got a little I couldn't get to the garden to do it. We hope it dries up soon so we can get our spring garden in soon.
Well, time to get busy again. I'm working on some stuffed turtles and birds. I'll try to do pictures tomorrow. I have my usual array of blankets and afghans not completed that I am trying to make myself complete. I need to get more disciplined. Yeah, like I see that happening any time soon.
